Nasi Lemak Mana Lagi

Let's try something which is of Malay style. Humans tend to get bored eating the same dish over and over again so that's why there are various food on earth. Once you're bored of something, you try something else which is new. Enough said.... presenting Nasi Lemak Mana Lagi. In my personal opinion, this nasi lemak is overrated. It is undeniable that the fried chicken is tasty but the rice is just normal, personally, I prefer the rice at Senibong, Permas compared to Mana Lagi.

I'm not sure if it's open in the day coz i usually go there for dinner. It's located at Perling, near the Temple of Goddess of Mercy. You will not miss the shop coz there's a signboard and usually packed with people when it is dinner time. They also have other side dish besides fried chicken. There are also squid, fried potato, curry, mee etc.. No harm heading there for a try coz there is also a chinese food court along that row of shops. Here are some pictures taken the last time we went... Those stuffs cost bout RM12.00...

Before I forget, this restaurant is operating on self service basis. You have to get your own plate, they ladies will fill in your rice for you then you select the side dishes yourself - ala buffet style. Then, a waiter will take order for your drinks and give you a piece of paper where you will show this to the cashier before making payment.

Trip to Seoul - Day 1

This time, Nation FoodBlog owner has decided to go international... She has brought her taste buds to Seoul, South Korea.

Basically, this trip isn't really a food trip, but rather a sight-seeing trip with lotsa food destination to go to. I wouldn't want to come back without any food updates for food lovers our there. So, day 1, we reached quite late and all shops at airport are closed. Luckily we ate a lot before we came to Korea. Took the AREX, then the Subway to Hongik University station coz our guesthouse is there - Grape Garden House.

After settling our luggages, we done some refreshing in the toilet and off we go. At 12am, about 4-5 degrees outside we went to hunt for our 1st food haven - the Korean BBQ at Hongik area. FYI, Hongik is one of the few happening place in Seoul, there are lotsa youngsters there and two rows of BBQ restaurant for you to choose from. I've chosen this store: Hongik Sutbul Galbi, Butcher Cut Korean BBQ

This shop is easily accessible. Take the subway Line 2 (Green), stop at Hongik University Station (aka Hongdae). Take Exit 4, turn right and walk straight. You will see Family Mart on your right. Turn left and look out for this shop on your right. It's the corner lot so you won't miss it. You will also see a lot of BBQ shop along the street. No harm trying them too ^^

Note of advise, If you're a Muslim don't bother going to this shop. It's Non-Halal :(
